Join local author Mike Barfield for Keith’s Big Leap, a delightful new children’s story brought to life with original music by Benjamin Ellin. Meet Keith the leaf as he discovers courage, change and the wonder of the seasons on his journey through the circle of life with his friends Tod the Blackbird, Grace the Squirrel and Wallace the Worm. This excitingly scored story incorporates community and school groups who can participate in the music, along with songs for the audience to join in with. A perfect event for families with children of all ages!

GET INVOLVED!

We are looking for children aged 8 - 15 to join the chorus for Keith's Big Leap! Does your child like to sing? Do they enjoy learning new songs and teaching others? Then sign them up to come and join in!

There is a rehearsal on the day at 11.30am at The Ritz Cinema in Thirsk where they will get the chance to meet the composer, author and musicians and sing through the songs. During the performance, the chorus will then help the audience learn the songs and bolster the volume. There is no work to do beforehand and no commitment other than on the day, so it is the perfect low-maintenance way for your child to be involved in a professional concert!
